Welome to my blog. My name is Dean Jabs. I am a board certified plastic surgeon practicing in Bethesda, Maryland and McLean, Virgina. I hope to use this blog to explore the fast paced world of plastic surgery. First, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am 55 years old, and live in Bethesda Maryland. I am married and have 3 children, the youngest of which is 3. I was born and raised in Southern California, educated in Los Angeles (USC), Chicago (Univ. of Illinois, and Rush University), and trained in New York (Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center). I have been fortunate to be a part of the United States Army Medical Corps at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and to get to know and appreciate the young men and women that serve in our armed forces. I have donated time to remove gang tattoos in Virginia using laser technology and been to Guatemala and Haiti on medical charity missions. http://www.cosmeticplastics.com/drjabs.asp

I love what I do for a living and find getting to know my patients as real human beings to be one of the best parts of my day.
